PWCA RULES WERE VOTED INTO PLACE BY THE MEMBERSHIP. PLEASE REVIEW THIS DOCUMENT AND SIGN THE APPLICATION. IF YOU AGREE WITH THE WAY THE ORGANIZATION IS RUN AND YOU ARE WILLING TO ABIDE BY ITS RULES.
I accept that the rules of this Association which are in place to keep it running smoothly.
I fully understand and accept that this association is a non-profit, which conduct fundraisers and receives revenues mainly from membership dues. As such, I accept the fact that in order to ensure the continuity of this association, renewals and recruitment of new members must be ongoing.
I understand and accept that this club does not have the formal structure of a board of directors only officers Founder, President, Treasurer,Secretary who will show the books upon request to any member quarterly at a regular monthly meeting; as was advised as being proper procedure from the CPA whose expertise was used in setting up this Association.
I understand and accept that founder, Karen Roberson, handles membership; has association approval to spend up to $50.00 per need without bringing it to a vote all reciepts must be attached with purchase; conducts or finds a replacement for the monthly meetings; and publishes monthly newsletters and updates by email. (A hard copy of the newsletter is issued to members once a month to those very few members without computer access. Before attending any activity, it is their responsibility to contact the president /organizer(s) to be advised of any updates or changes.) |

I understand and accept that the following basic rules were adopted by the majority of the membership and that this is the way the PWCA has chosen to run as being fair for all:
Our rules can be changed only as follows: Suggestions for changes must be brought up and discussed at a monthly meeting. Only those members in attendance at a meeting can vote. Only show-of-hand votes by members present are accepted. Majority in attendance rules. Signatures on petitions by members not in attendance are not valid as members must be in attendance at a monthly meeting in order to have a vote. Any non-member woman may attend one association activity by calling the hostess of that activity and informing her that she wishes to attend as a First-Time-Guest. In order to attend a second activity, her membership application and check must be received at the address below. [Allowing non-members to attend more than one activity was not accepted by the majority and was voted into practice as being most fair –long term- for all.] A hostess is responsible for submitting her list of attendees to Karen -each time- BEFORE the activity takes place so that she( Karen) can notify any guests of this rule ahead of time.
I understand and accept that all club activities are suggested and organized by our members and that I am expected to either organize or host at least one activity per year or volunteer for one of the other jobs required on an as-needed basis.
I understand and accept that the yearly membership dues of $25 per person were set by majority vote. I will forfeit my membership and will no longer be able to attend any club activity until and unless I maintain my dues. Dues are non-refundable paid monthly.
As a member I will honor and support the friendships made within the group and keep personal information shared with me by other members in confidence. I understand, fully agree with and will try my best to live up to the Association mission statement which is: Building Stronger Women that stands ready to help others.
I pledge to have as much fun as humanly possible at all PWCA activities because it is contagious and we sure do need more fun and laughter in the world today!
